The training focuses on women’s positioning in relation to men: what storytelling strategies can be used from an equality perspective?
The advantage of having a male trainer is that it addresses a major challenge directly.
Often, women’s leadership programs are conducted in sisterhood settings, exclusively with women.
However, this approach rarely confronts the key issue of women’s vocal leadership, which is how to assert themselves effectively in a world dominated by male leaders.
A training program dedicated to women from an empowerment perspective… in the American style!
Here, we will explore in depth the anatomical differences between the male and female vocal apparatus. We will fully address the concept of women’s vocal empowerment.
This training provides a direct confrontation with one of the main factors behind the glass ceiling that women face in their careers, as it is led by a male instructor.
Most importantly, it enables participants to reclaim their vocal strengths and finally make their own voice heard, both acoustically and symbolically.
It is the female version of the premium voice training program, conducted by a man who understands career challenges and provides tools from a comprehensive empowerment perspective.
Accessibility: available in-person or online.
Cost: €4,000 for a group of 1 to 6 participants maximum + travel and accommodation expenses if on-site.
Who is it for?
This training is designed for female employees who want to be heard in any situation, particularly in assemblies where men are the majority.
It can also be suitable for men who want to understand the physiological vocal differences between male and female voices and interact as respectfully and effectively as possible.
This training can be conducted individually or in groups, depending on the needs.
Duration:
A two-day training (consecutive or non-consecutive) with multiple stages:
- Exclusive vocal assessment measuring voice intensity, harmonic spectrum, speech rate, posture, breathing, etc.: this serves as the roadmap for the coaching. You will know exactly where you start and where you aim to go.
- Introduction via scientific studies to understand what a voice reveals and communicates.
- Voice anatomy, how it functions, differences between male and female voices, and what these differences reveal about general interpersonal interactions.
- Dissociation between sexual attraction and power positioning in women, how to manage it, avoid adopting a masculine vocal stereotype in strategic positions, and assert your own authentic voice.
- Exercises to practice at home to loosen the voice and strengthen vocal support: instructions personalized according to the initial assessment.
- Practical work: dissociating content and form, voice, breathing, and posture, then combining everything for a more impactful message. Multiple real-life scenarios in a supportive context for effective progress. Direct confrontation with challenges.
Learning objectives:
- Become aware of the physiological differences and impact between male and female voices, and their positioning in public speaking and power dynamics.
- Analyze biases associated with female voices, understand their perception by audiences, and position yourself vocally accordingly.
- Master vocal projection and intonation in all situations (public speaking, hierarchical management) and in any environment (meeting room, auditorium, casual spaces) to ensure you are heard, even in male-dominated assemblies.
- Understand the personality of interlocutors by listening to their vocal qualities (Asthenia, Roughness, Subglottic Overpressure, etc.) and adapt your vocal response.
- Define improvement paths for continued individual optimization of your voice after the training.
Methodology:
- Collect participants’ needs, initial recording with camera to define physiological vocal characteristics, voice projection, and intensity.
- Record an audio capsule before and after the training to track progress and harmonic spectrum intensity.
- Comprehensive theoretical presentation on what a voice is, what it communicates about you, etc.
- Targeted exercises to control breathing (abdominal, costo-diaphragmatic, intercostal, etc.), identifying respiratory stress zones with specific postural practices.
- Holistic understanding of the voice as a consequence of posture and breathing, analyzing cause-and-effect relationships between posture, subglottic pressure, vocal fold compression, etc.
- Targeted diction exercises and speech rate control.
- Systematic audio and video recordings with harmonic spectrum analysis to visualize emitted sounds and resonance.
