With this training, we go beyond standard public speaking. We dive deeper into how a voice, both acoustically and physiologically, is perceived by an audience, what it conveys, what it intends to communicate, and, most importantly, how to enhance every aspect (timbre, harmonic spectrum, inflections and intonations, speech rate, etc.).
Having something to say after a public speaking course is good.
Knowing how to say it, with the right intonation, optimal vocal placement, and precise delivery—is even better.
Beyond Public Speaking: Voice and Posture
This training is supported by American and European scientific studies that illustrate the concepts and reveal a world of which you may not be fully aware. How can you truly master your voice, something so close yet often so distant from yourself?
This course is designed for individuals who already have some public speaking experience and want to take their skills further.
It is also suitable for introverts and shy individuals who want to make their voice heard and don’t know how to do it, even if they don’t necessarily need to speak in public.
This is the premium version of the program, offering rapid and, above all, lasting impact, thanks to a comprehensive end-of-training summary. It provides a personalized progression path for medium- and long-term development.
Cost: 4,000 € for a group of 1 to 6 participants maximum, plus travel and accommodation expenses if conducted on-site.
Duration
A two-day training (consecutive or not) structured in multiple stages:
- Exclusive individual vocal assessment measuring voice intensity, harmonic spectrum, speech rate, posture, respiration, and more: this forms the roadmap on which the coaching will be based. You will know exactly where you start and where you are headed!
- Introduction through scientific studies on what a voice reveals and what it communicates.
- Vocal anatomy: understanding how the voice works and how to improve it.
- Practical exercises to practice at home to increase vocal flexibility and support: personalized instructions based on the initial diagnostic.
- Hands-on exercises: separating content and form, voice, breathing, and posture, then integrating them for a more impactful message. Multiple situational exercises in a supportive environment to progress efficiently.
This training can be conducted individually or in groups, depending on needs.
Methodology:
- Collecting participant needs, initial recording session with a camera to define the physiological characteristics of the voice, how it carries, its intensity, etc.
- Pre- and post-training audio recordings to track progress and analyze harmonic spectrum intensity.
- Complete theoretical presentation of what a voice is and what it communicates about you.
- Targeted exercises on breathing techniques (abdominal, costo-diaphragmatic, intercostal, etc.) and identifying areas of respiratory stress through postural practices.
- Holistic understanding of the voice as a consequence of posture and breathing, analyzing cause-effect relationships between posture, subglottic pressure, and vocal fold compression.
- Focused diction and speech rate mastery exercises.
- Systematic audio and video recordings with harmonic spectrum analysis for a precise image of emitted sounds and resonance.
Learning objectives:
Develop awareness of the importance of spoken voice, posture, and breathing in the body, regardless of function, from both emission and listening perspectives.
Understand vocal, postural, and muscular anatomy to optimize it for efficiency and/or performance.
Learn to manage stress through the assimilation of respiratory tools.
Master vocal projection and its inflections in all circumstances (public speaking, negotiation) and locations (meeting room, auditorium, coffee area).
Analyze the personality of interlocutors by listening to their voice quality (Asthenia, Roughness, Subglottic Overpressure, etc.) and adapt vocal responses accordingly. Understanding how your interlocutor functions gives you a strategic advantage. Define targeted improvement areas for voice use to continue optimizing it individually after the training.
Connect the content of a speech with its form through the voice for a fully impactful message.
